Within the first week of Halo 3 being launched, it has already become the fastest selling game of all time, with more than $170 million dollars made on it’s day of release. It has become one of the most successful games in history, breaking the most money made in one day in history. Halo 3 is surely a cultural phenomenon, and most likely game of the year.

Halo 3 Skulls: IWHBYD Found0

Now that Halo 3 has been out for over a week now, players have searched for hours and even days trying to find “Skulls” specially hidden from players to find in Halo 3’s campaign. Each skull has it’s own special effect when picked up, from enemies throwing grenades rapidly(Roger Clemens-Style) to unlocking hidden dialogue throughout Halo 3’s campaign. Those are just a few of many skull effects, all skulls have been found including the well hidden IWHBYD(I would have been your daddy), described by Bungie: “the Skull is found in ways that we have yet to imagine”. There are guides out now on how to find specific skulls, if you don’t want to spoil the fun, you can find them yourself, but have fun hunting.

Microsoft announces new merchandise for the Halo 3 junkies, new Halo 3 artistic xbox 360 wireless controllers, wireless Halo 3 headset in spartan and gold colours, and a cool limited edition Master Chief action figure. The controllers and the headset will both retail at about $59.99 and will be available a few weeks before the release of Halo 3.
